Comparison / TeamViewer
A TeamViewer alternative for people who resell support
A TeamViewer alternative should be evaluated against the work your team actually does, not a guessed renewal bill. Remote Login offers monthly technician seats, separate client organisations and visible, time-bounded support sessions.

Why people look for a TeamViewer alternative
Renewal is a useful moment to examine an access tool because the team has real usage to compare with the plan. Count the people who need identities, how many work simultaneously, the managed devices and any features the service depends on. A complaint about a headline price is less useful than that inventory.
TeamViewer’s official pricing overview describes annual subscriptions and distinguishes users, concurrent connections and managed devices. Those are separate dimensions. Ten technicians do not establish a unique TeamViewer price without the rest of the requirements.
We do not repeat the often-quoted $509 figure as though it is a current, like-for-like quote for every ten-person team. The published material reviewed here did not establish that scenario. Remote Login’s own ten-seat Agency calculation is straightforward: $450 monthly, with 2,500-device capacity and unlimited client organisations.
The reason to consider an alternative is therefore a specific fit: a smaller provider wants a published monthly seat model and an access workflow organised around clients, consent and records. If the incumbent already meets the requirements at an acceptable cost, switching still needs a reason.

| Question | TeamViewer | Remote Login |
|---|---|---|
| What is the licensing unit? | Licensed users, concurrent connections and managed-device limits; annual subscription. | Named technician seats; monthly prices. |
| What is the published starting point for this comparison? | Region and package dependent; confirm the current quote. | Starter $25, Agency $45, Pro $75 per technician/month. |
| How should I compare device capacity? | Use the allowance in the exact selected plan. | 100 devices/Starter seat; 250/Agency seat; unlimited/Pro seat. |
| What about client organisations? | Verify the required separation and workflow in the chosen edition. | One on Starter; unlimited on Agency and Pro. |
| What about branding? | Check the relevant edition and each customer-facing surface. | Branding on Agency; full white-label on Pro, with disclosed limits. |
| Can this control an iPhone? | Third-party control is constrained by iOS; distinguish viewing from input. | Attended iOS sharing and guidance; no remote touch input. |
The table names the decisions a buyer must verify. A blank assumption should not be converted into a “no” in the competitor’s column. Edition-dependent capabilities need the actual plan, and technical requirements need a real device test.
Keep the completed comparison with the evaluation notes. Record which plan was quoted, when it was checked and which requirements remained unresolved. That gives the eventual buyer a decision they can review, instead of a screenshot of a headline price with the important conditions cropped away.
For the OS side, use the published platform capability matrix. For the support experience, review our remote support platform and ask each vendor to show the person-at-the-device view as well as the console.

Remote Login
Where TeamViewer is genuinely the better choice
TeamViewer may be the stronger fit for an enterprise whose procurement and operations rely on its broader product ecosystem, deployment options or existing integrations. Do not remove a working part of that environment simply because another tool has a cleaner seat calculation.
Its official product and licensing information identifies enterprise offerings and integrations. Remote Login is a focused remote access layer, not a replacement for every capability in those packages. Inventory what your team uses before comparing the remote-support component in isolation.
There is also a real cost to familiarity. If technicians, customers and internal support documentation already depend on a particular workflow, the replacement must justify the effort of changing it. A pilot should compare outcomes, including failure cases, rather than merely proving that a second tool can connect.

What switching actually involves
Begin with the current TeamViewer contract and device inventory. Record the renewal date, required notice and which functions are essential to your service. Confirm the contract terms directly with the vendor; a page on this site is not a cancellation instruction for your particular agreement.
Choose a pilot organisation and enrol a representative set of devices in Remote Login. Include the permissions-sensitive platforms, the actual network restrictions and the attended or unattended modes you use. Keep the existing access route available until the replacement is proven.
There is no advertised one-click import of TeamViewer agents or session history. Export and retain the records your business needs through the supported tools in the existing service. Re-enrol devices deliberately, re-establish permissions and remove old access only after the relevant people approve the change.
Treat the change as a controlled pilot with a way back. The devices belong to a customer or employer, and installing another access path changes who can reach them. Tell the responsible people what is changing, who authorises it and how they can identify a legitimate session.
Before committing, read the setup, session and record flow and the security model. Providers should also check the multi-client organisation model and the actual white-label scope.
Remote Login
What it would cost you
For Remote Login, ten Agency technicians cost $450 per month. The price includes up to 2,500 managed devices and unlimited organisations. Ten Pro seats are $750 with unlimited devices. A single-organisation team may fit Starter if its fleet stays within 100 devices per seat.
For TeamViewer, obtain the current regional quote using the number of licensed users, concurrent connections, managed devices and required add-ons. Do not multiply a single-user price by the entire team unless that is the actual eligible buying model. Do not assume that a displayed monthly equivalent is a monthly payment option.
Use our seat calculator for the Remote Login side. It shows the lowest-priced plan that fits exactly the selected number of technicians, device count and organisation choice. Required feature entitlements can still lead you to a different tier.
Include the overlap between subscriptions, deployment time and technician familiarisation in a migration budget. These are ordinary costs of changing a business tool, even when the replacement’s monthly subscription is lower.

Questions, answered
Questions about moving from TeamViewer
Is Remote Login a direct replacement for every TeamViewer feature?
No. Remote Login is a focused remote support and access platform. List the features your team actually depends on, including integrations and administration workflows, then evaluate those requirements explicitly. A successful remote desktop connection alone does not establish full product parity.
Can I compare TeamViewer’s monthly headline directly with your price?
Only after checking the billing period, plan limits and required additions. TeamViewer describes annual subscriptions, while Remote Login publishes monthly seat prices. A monthly equivalent for annual prepayment and a monthly subscription represent different commitments.
Can we move the whole fleet in one step?
A staged rollout is more useful than an untested fleet cutover. Begin with representative devices and client organisations, verify permissions and records, and keep a recovery route until the replacement works. No one-click migration of agents or historical audit data is advertised.
Will changing vendors give us full iPhone control?
No third-party support platform gains system-wide iPhone input privileges merely by replacing another app. Read why iOS viewing and control are different, including the separate Apple FaceTime feature, before promising a mobile support capability.
What should the pilot prove?
Prove the enrolled device is in the correct organisation, the technician has the intended permissions, the supported inputs work and the customer sees a clear session. Test decline, expiry and revocation as well as acceptance. Finally, inspect the record that remains.
