Remote support software

Remote desktop software for IT support teams

Help the person at the desk. Maintain the machines after hours. Keep every connection tied to a technician, a client and a clear record.

From $25 / technician / month · No minimum term

Two ways to connect

A support call. Or a maintenance window.

The technician requests an attended session; the person at the device accepts or declines.
WITH THE CUSTOMER

Help while they’re there.

The person at the computer sees who is connecting and decides whether to allow access. A visible session indicator stays on screen, and they can end the session at any time.

Use attended support for application issues, troubleshooting and walking someone through a fix.

Follow an attended session
An internal IT team reaches workstations, servers and remote staff inside one organisation.
AUTHORISED IN ADVANCE

Maintain it after hours.

Reach enrolled devices under the access arrangement approved by their owner. Technicians still need permission in the correct organisation, and sessions still leave a record.

Use unattended access for managed servers and agreed workstation maintenance.

Read the access controls

After the connection

The ticket is closed. The record stays.

See which technician connected, the client and device involved, and when the session started and ended. File-transfer events add context when files move.

Keep that record alongside the support ticket: the log identifies the access; the ticket explains the work. Session metadata is not a video recording.

Platform support

Know what works before the first call.

Setup checks screen, pointer and keyboard separately. On macOS, the owner grants Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions. Linux control depends on the desktop session; Android depends on ownership and configuration.

On iPhone and iPad, Remote Login supports attended screen sharing and guidance. It cannot control the phone’s touch interface. See the full capability matrix.

Questions, answered

Before you connect

What is remote support software?

Remote support software lets an authorised technician view or control a device in another location. Remote Login adds client organisations, visible sessions, access expiry and an audit record. Available controls depend on the operating system and its permissions.

Do I need to open RDP ports?

Remote Login uses an enrolled agent and the service’s connection infrastructure. You do not need a public RDP port on each machine. Your network must allow the required outbound connections; test restricted networks and proxies during your pilot.

Can I use my own branding?

Agency includes customer-facing branding; White-Label Pro includes full white-label. Publisher identities and legal disclosures have defined limits. See exactly what rebrands.

What happens when the access window expires?

The session window is a limit on access. Continuing the job requires a new valid session. Choose a suitable window before starting work that could take longer, such as an installation.

Is this an RMM?

No. Remote Login handles remote access and support; it does not include patch management, monitoring, alerting or ticketing. Use it alongside those tools. See the workflows for MSPs and internal IT teams.
