For small businesses / No IT department needed

Remote access for a business with no IT department

Somebody at your company is the one who fixes the computers. It probably is not their job. If that person is you, this is the tool that means you do not have to drive back to the office at nine at night.

Enroll the device, connect with authority, and retain a session record.

You are the person who fixes the computers

You might run the front desk at a dental practice, manage a law office or keep two HVAC vans moving between jobs. Somewhere along the way, you also became the person everyone calls when a computer stops doing what it should. That work rarely arrives at a convenient time.

Remote access lets you use another computer without sitting in front of it. Once you have set up an authorized connection, you can reach the office machine from somewhere else, see the problem and work on it. You still need permission, an internet connection and a computer that is available to connect.

Remote Login is remote access software for small business owners and the people who help them. You do not need an IT department, a fleet of servers or a plan to sell support to customers. You need a machine you are allowed to reach and a reason to reach it.

Start with one computer and an ordinary task. The setup guide explains the connection, and the platform capabilities page tells you what has actually been verified on each operating system.

What you can actually do with it

Reach a machine at the office from home

The file you need is on the office computer, or the application only runs there. With access set up in advance, you can use that machine from home instead of driving back. The work happens on the remote computer; installing an access tool does not move all your software onto your laptop.

Arrange this while you are still at the office. Check that the computer stays powered and connected when you need it, and test the real task from outside the building. A machine that is switched off or disconnected cannot answer a remote session.

Let someone you trust help you

If your usual computer person is elsewhere, an attended session lets them help while you are at the desk. The session identifies who is connecting and which computer they want to reach. Agree the access settings, duration and purpose before starting; you can end the session when the work is finished.

Give helpers their own authorized access. Do not send your account password around or leave a shared login in an office notebook. If someone only needs to help with one machine, their access should reflect that job.

Keep the laptop that walked out of the building useful

A colleague takes a company laptop home or out on a job. If it is enrolled, online and using a supported configuration, you can help with a problem without waiting for it to come back. Decide who authorizes support on that laptop before the first urgent call.

This means supporting a laptop that someone is legitimately using elsewhere. It is not a lost-device recovery service. Remote access also does not supply backups, fix an internet outage or keep the operating system patched for you.

What it costs, and what happens when you grow

One Starter seat is $25 per month in USD and covers 100 devices in one organization. That is far more computers than many small businesses need. You pay $25 whether you enroll three machines or thirty; there is no smaller three-computer price hidden behind a sales call.

A seat is for the person providing access or support, not each employee whose computer is enrolled. If another person needs their own technician seat, include that in the calculation. Two Starter seats cost $50 monthly and provide capacity for 200 devices in the same organization.

There is no minimum term or metered per-device overage. If you need more capacity or a different plan, you make that choice explicitly. Agency is $45 per technician monthly; White-Label Pro is $75. The published allowances explain what changes with each tier.

If you would rather hand this to a professional, an IT provider using Remote Login can take it over without any migration, because it is the same platform. Agree the organization access and billing handover with the provider; handing over responsibility should include reviewing who can still connect.

Use the pricing page for the full terms. If you are looking after your own computers rather than a business, the same product is available to you.

You do not need to understand any of this to use it

You do not need to learn remote desktop protocols to ask for help. Tell us which computers you have, what you want to do and who should be allowed to do it. The guided setup checks the connection on the machine you actually intend to use.

Some computers need operating-system permissions before viewing or input can work. A picture of the desktop is not proof that the keyboard and pointer work too. We publish those limits rather than asking you to discover them after you have stopped using your previous tool.

You do still make the ordinary business decisions: who you trust, which machines they can reach and when their access should end. Keep individual accounts, enable two-factor authentication and remove access when someone stops helping. You can ask a professional to handle that setup without buying a different product.

Read how access and session records work, or tell us about your computers. A useful first conversation starts with the task you need done, not with technical vocabulary.

Questions, answered

Questions a small business asks

Do I need to be technical?

No. You need permission to set up the computers and someone who can follow the setup steps. We can help you check the fit. Start with a single machine and test the work you want to do before relying on it after hours.

What if I only have three computers?

One Starter seat still costs $25 per month. It includes 100 devices in one organization, so three computers fit comfortably. The unused allowance does not create an extra charge, but it does not reduce the seat price either.

Can my accountant/bookkeeper get in?

Yes, with their own authorized access and the appropriate seat. Give them access only to the computers their work requires, agree when they may connect and remove it when that work ends. Your accounting application may have its own permissions and license requirements too.

Is this safe for patient or client data?

The product does not make you compliant; your configuration, access decisions and procedures determine how it is used. Check the controls and contractual requirements with whoever is responsible for your patient or client information before using it on those machines.

What happens if I later hire an IT company?

An IT provider using Remote Login can take over on the same platform without a migration. Agree the handover, permissions and billing, then review your previous helpers’ access. A provider using a different tool may have its own enrollment process.
